On September 30, CPAD participated in AYC’s (Asian Youth Center) first ever Parent Resource Fair. Over 70 youth and families attended the event at AYC’s exhibition hall, filled with the delicious aroma of popcorn. They meandered among over ten booths, including CPAD, learning about the various useful information and resources and enjoying snacks and prizes. And a CPAD family drew a top prize!
This event also offered an opportunity for the different agencies at the exhibit to exchange information with each other. Many of them provide the community with legal, educational, safety, physical and emotional health, financial management and other services. We are also thankful for the services of the San Gabriel Police Department. CPAD reached an agreement with Learning Rights Law Center at the event to provide a series of Special Education Law services and consulting for our parents starting October 28. What a great partnership! We want to give special thanks to AYC, a longtime supporter of CPAD and who allows us to use their facilities for our activities... (More..)
