CPAD LA Headquarter

Chinese New Year Party - On March 3, 2018, CPAD celebrated the Year of the Dog at a festive celebration.  The party included delicious food, fabulous raffle prizes, and performances from the CPAD students.  The karaoke group sang "Dancing Queen" and "Foon Loc Nian Nian."  Besides the singing, there was also a fantastic ribbon dance from the Rainbow Dancers.  That goes to show that the CPAD students are very talented! This year, CPAD was very fortunate to have not only our own CPAD talented young new generation, but also Tzu Chi Youth performing at the event.

In addition to Leah Utar, the Youth Karaoke Singing Group, the Rainbow Dancers, we also have Alan’s beautiful singing and “hand-singing” by the Tzu Chi Youth volunteers. During the celebration, CPAD assistants received recognition. Specifically, the CPAD members thanked Mrs. Lee for coordinating the Saturday and Dragon Boatprorams.  

The CPAD Board would like to express our deepest appreciation to our raffle donors who made the raffle sale a success, particularly Alpha Design for the 49" flat screen TV, Jenny Huynh for various raffle prizes and an elegant tea set, and J & J Travel for China Tour vouchers.  We also want to especially thank to Ms. AI Phuong one of our parent member, 1st prize raffle winner, for donating back her 1st prize, the 49" flat screen TV to the future CPAD Activity Center. The Board also want to express our special appreciation to Tak Lau for her continuous sponsorship of and donation to CPAD’s Chinese New Year Event, bringing prosperity of this new Dog Year to our community and families. CPAD Orange County Chapter

02/17/2018 CPAD Orange County Chapter Meeting – Chinese New Year is a very special day for us.  We, living in our adopted country, happily took this opportunity to get together at OCAAC, our usually meeting place, to celebrate this wonderful day. Parents really enjoyed this unusual down time to talk with each other, exchange ideas, plan for the future, and just relax.  The children played games, drew pictures and played ball and supervised by the volunteers. We really appreciated our devoted volunteers who allowed our overloaded parents to have some respite. (More..)
