【CPAD-Chinese New Year Celebration】

2/12/2011, CPAD held its 5th annual Lunar Chinese New Year celebration at Golden Soup Restaurant in the City of San Gabriel.  The luncheon was sponsored by Mr. Kenneth Lee and Mrs. Tak Lee.  Full of enthusiasm and wishig that parents and children of CPAD get to mingle with each other and enjoy the traditional Spring Festival, this is the 5th year in a roll that they contribute to the Chinese New Year festivity.

As part of this special event, we honored those who offered generous support to CPAD during the prior year.  We are especially obliged to the Vertex Holdings; they offered tremendous help to clean up our web site which became dysfunctional due to virus attack.  They not only recovered all our data, but also constructed a new professionally designed web site for us, hosted and maintained it for free. The President of Vertex, Mr. James Chiu, was present to accept the citation award presented by CPAD President, Mrs. Rachel Chen. 

Rita Medina, Representative from the office of the Honorable Congresswoman, Judy Chu, also presented an award to the Vertex Holdings for their contribution to public interest in the local community.  Also, representative from California State Assemblymember, Mike Eng, presented special citation award to Mr. Kenneth Lee & Mrs. Tak Lee for their generous sponsorship to CPAD, and to Ms. Alice Thomas, the Chairperson of the Joint Chinese University Alumni Association (California), for her contribution to the needy families throughout the years.

【CPAD Community Support】- Fiesta Educativa “Winter Wonderland Casino Night - Fashion Show Fundraiser”

1/19/2011 Fiesta Educativa's “Winter Wonderland Casino Night-Fashioon Show Fundraiser”, Jenny Lee, Joshua Chen, Nanette Yung and Alison Liao were the models from CPAD on that evening.  They were remarkable and really have style!
