The event was a success—Chinese, Latino, Japanese and Vietnamese family members from CPAD, FE, JSPACC (Japanese Speaking Parents Association of Children with Challenges) and VPAD (Vietnamese Parents Association for the Disabled) networked and supported one another...

10/20/2018 CPAD SAGE Meeting Outing at Smith Park
On Saturday October 20, 2018 at 12:30 through 2:30 PM, we had our SAGE meeting at Smith Park in San Gabriel just across the street from the Asian Youth Center located on 100 Clary Avenue. Our guest Scott Baron and Gabe Taylor from DRC (Disability Rights of California) came to this meeting. We have talked about voting because Election Day is coming up on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

CPAD Saturday New Classes - Yuga: Summer has come and gone, and we are beginning a new chapter. For our Saturday events, we will be adding some new classes that will give our members an opportunity to tackle new and exciting challenges.Our newest yoga class has gotten great reviews, and is taught by our very own, Cathay Liu, a certified yoga instructor, she has a great understanding on how to guide our children through all the different moves.... CPAD OC Chapter - Resource Meeting

10/20/2018 CPAD Orange County Chapter –Attorney Melinda Hunsaker of McGonigle & Hunsaker, LLP gave us a talk on “Living Trust and Special Need Trust”.  She discussed living trust and special needs trust in detail.   Ms. Hunsaker reviewed the four documents in basic estate planning: Durable Power of Attorney for Finances, Advance Health Care Directive, Living Trust, and Pour Over Will.  She talked about probate, the costs and time involved and how to avoid it...
