CPAD Alhambra Headquarter:

CPAD Dragon Boat Racing Training - During the month of July, CPAD kids and parents trained vigorously throughout the course of a month in preparation for Long Beach’s annual Dragon Boat Festival in which many teams from California and across the country come to compete.
With the help of experienced dragon boat Paddlers from a well-known organized team, the newly formed Team “CPAD” was able to gain the skills needed to take home first place in their division. All in all, the kids, parents and instructors had a good time working together as a team to accomplish a challenging task.

CPAD Orange County Chapter:

8/16/2014 CPAD Orange County Chapter – Ms. Scarlett VonThenen, Area Board XI, gave us a talk in “Regional Center IPP Process and How to Access Services”.  Ms. VonThenen provided us with handouts detailing the IPP Process and the services that Regional Centers are required to provide for our children and families.  Due to the limited number of participants, Ms. VonThenen did not spend time going over the handouts.  Instead, she asked each of us about our loved ones and what support and services we are getting currently; then, she gave us individual advice and pointers. We all benefited from her wealth of knowledge and experience, and appreciated her compassion and dedication to the special needs community.
