CPAD First Annual Chess & Basketball Hot-Shot Shooting Contest

About 20 children brought their best "game" on Saturday June 24, 2011 to the First CPAD Annual “Chess Tournament” and  “Basketball Hot-Shot Shooting Contest”. The tournament and contest were initiated and designed by Dr. Allen Jang to showcase  the hard work the children had put in over the years, and to show off their considerable spirit.  

Dr. Jang has been a long time Tai Chi  instructor and chess and basketball coach for the CPAD Saturday program. he program Cordinator, Li Lee put a lot of time and efforts to  advocate and organized this event. Led by their club adviser, Ms. Linda Ho, about 15 volunteers from the Interact Club of Gabrielino High School showed up to help and cheer along the activity.....

 

CPAD - Mother's Day Celebration

CPAD held its Mother’s Day Celebration on 5/21/2011 in Anaheim, Orange County. More than 130 members, volunteers, and   friends came together to honor our mothers and to have some fun time together. Our member child Mathew Tsai performed Tae Kwon Do moves; he is only two levels from the black belt.  Daniel Lung played a beautiful piano piece: “Perigoso: Tango-Brasileiro" by Ernesto Nazareth. The volunteers and many of our children sang songs, read poems to mothers and played a skit.  Every mother got a beautiful tea set as Mother’s Day gift .........
