Community Parent Resource Center, CPRC - Workshop
“Individual Transition Plan (ITP): How Do Children Prepare and Participate”
Time: January 24, Monday, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
Location: First Christian Church of Alhambra

Last October, CPAD/CPRC Outreach Coordinator, Rose Wang’s presentation of ITP was well received, and had a lot of good comments from parents .... On January 24, Monday, Rose will make the same presentation for those parents who missed the last ITP session.... ITP is a long-term plan for your school-aged children. It is not an IEP, but it is as important as IEP..... The workshop is for parents of children of all ages. It will help parents in their training of children in the direction of ITP participation.

CPAD - Orange County Chapter - Workshop
“Advocacy and Employment Assistance for Youth with Disabilities”
Time: January 15, 2011, Saturday, 2 pm to 4 pm

Speaker: Sara Kirker/Andrew Magana, Dayle McIntosh Center
Ms. Kirker is a community organizer, and Mr. Magana a vocational services representative with Dayle McIntosh Center. Both focus on serving transitional age youth with disabilities in Orange County by assisting youth with disabilities in vocational development and self and community advocacy.
