CPAD Corner (November 2010)

CPAD - Community Parents Resource Center (CPRC) Grant Awarded

We are happy to announce that both Fiesta and CPAD are awarded the CPRC grant.  The purpose of the grant is to collaborate with Fiesta to provide support to Hispanic and Chinese parents and students (age from 3 to 25) in special education needs.  CPRC grant is a Federal grant from the Office of Special Education Program (OSEP). 

This is the 3rd time both Fiesta & CPAD were awarded.  The grant is good for 5 years starting October 2010 to the end of September 2015 ......


CPAD Alhambra - Saturday Program – 2nd & 4th Saturdays

Children Program:

1:00p.m.-  1:45 p.m.  Choir Group               (Ms. Su)
1:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Art Painting                (Ms. Su)
2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Basketball/Tai Chi    (Dr. Jang)
3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Karaoke/Sing-Along (Mr. Lam)

The above mentioned activities are free of charge, sponsored by generous donors ......CPAD added a new singing class which is supported by Mrs. Tak Lee and Abel Lam.  Instructor Abel will work with individual student (one-on-one) on sound, rhythms, etc. Time is 12 noon to 3:30 pm (every 2nd & 4th Saturday).  Cost per session is $10 (CPAD sponsor $5, while parent pays $5).

Parents Programs:

2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.  Chess (free of charge) (Dr. Jang)
3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Floral-Arrangement (charge material fee only) (Ms. Lo) - New students are welcome to join us.
