On Saturday, May 22, 2010 1:30 pm (right after the Parents Day Party) - Ms. Nicki Ung, Job Developer from Asian Rehabilitation Service, Inc. (ARS) will
give a brief presentation about an exciting new employment program being offered for individuals with disabilities who are "job ready". ARS received a half
million dollar grant funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for this new program.
Since 1972, ARS has provided employment training and opportunities for low-income monolingual speaking persons with disabilities to increase the individual's independence and self-sufficiency. Services are provided in 7 languages - Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Spanish and English.
