This presentation will provide an overview of the Early Achievements model of early intervention for autism spectrum disorders.  Important ingredients of very early intervention for ASD will be discussed. Following the presentation there will be time for questions and answers.

CPAD Information (January 2011)

Partners in Community Inclusion (PICI) at East LA Regional Center (ELARC) will begin its 2011 Parent Meeting Series starting Jan. 11, 2011. These meetings are open to families with young children or teens served by ELARC. Meetings are held in the ELARC boardroom from 9:30-12:00 noon on Jan. 11, Feb. 15, March 15, April 12, May 17, and June 21.

Participants will learn how to develop a long range vision of community inclusion for the children; learn how to develop goals and objectives that support community inclusion and make use of natural supports ......

Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California (APIDC)

Host the 4th Statewide Disabilities Conference

October 29‐30, Los Angeles, CA – Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California (APIDC) will host the 4th statewide disabilities conference on October 29th and 30th, 2010 at the Long Beach Westin Hotel in California. The two day conference will include sessions on a range of topics including: Autism, Health Care Reform, Best Practices for Outreach & Services, Mental and Physical Disabilities, Gaining success and independence with disabilities through benefits, education and employment, and Transition to Adulthood. There will also be a Job Fair on Friday, October 29; resource tables, and parent and consumer networking opportunities.
