CPAD Saturday Program (July 2014)
07 七月 2014
Dear Parents,
It’s the season of graduation. CPAD’s Saturday programs ended on 6/7/2014 too. During the past year, CPAD kids learned and hung out together. It is quite comforting to see they have grown more mature through participation; this is especially self-evident for those grown up CPAD kids. Ms. May is a young, caring and experienced teacher. Under her guidance in the past six years, she had transformed them from being ignorant and indifferent to the people and things around them to willing participants to the activities she led. She had established the rapport and trust with them; CPAD parents were touched by her efforts.
The departure of Ms. May was a letdown for CPAD’s kids. Luckily, during the period of transformation, they will attempt to organize their own social group called「SAGE」, which is currently under the guidance of USC Professor, Dr. Wheeler.
The next school year will start in September. We will expand training for kids 8-13. I am pleased to introduce new teacher Ms. Penny, who holds an MA degree in Drama. She is currently an afterschool instructor at Salvation Army; she also works as administrative director. She will teach students to interact with one another through music and drama. In addition, you all are aware how popular Art teacher Ms. Lo is. For her to take time to teach us is blessing; make sure you do not pass up the opportunity to join.
Wish everyone a happy summer! We will meet again in September.
