CPAD Information (April 2007)

4/24/2007 Chinese Parents Association for the Disabled is pleased to invite Suzanne Galindo of TASK (Team of Advocates for Special Kids), to be our guest speaker for our parent support group meeting. Suzanne will discuss the area of IEP Education. Including transition, educational rights, and discussion of the IEP process… Parents please bring the child’s IEP/ITP to discuss.

Last month in the “IEP Education Pathway – Infant to Adult” workshop held in ELARC, Suzanne shared a lot of latest information with parents. However, due to limit of time, some information was unable to discuss. Therefore, on 4/24/2007 she specially comes to meet with us and giving us more individualized support. Location: First Christian Church 220 S. 5th, 2nd floor, Alhambra, CA 91801. Time: Tuesday 10 am to 12 noon.

How does one determine if the FBA and BIP are of high quality? The purpose of this webinar is to provide participants with the indicators that can be used to determine if an FBA and BIP are technically sound and socially meaningful. The presenter will go through the FBA and BIP process showing what should happen at each step and the questions to ask to ensure the process results in high quality intervention supports.
